We know that sometimes the timing isn’t perfect, but a window has opened, offering a select few the chance to experience a truly immersive cultural exchange. While country choices are now limited and specific age requirements apply, these remaining placements represent incredible destinations ready to welcome your club’s next global ambassador.

Where Can Your Students Go? A World of Discovery Awaits!

This is an extraordinary chance for students eager to take on a new challenge and adventure – act fast, as these spots are filling rapidly and we cannot guarantee which spot your student will get!

• Poland: Note: Students cannot turn 18 after September 3rd. Specific health requirements apply – and will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
• Slovak Republic: Ideal for students aged 18+ for smoother visa processes, though 15.5-19 can apply.)
• India: Up to 18.4, with flexibility for over-age students on a case-by-case basis.
• Taiwan: Up to 18.5 upon arrival are welcome. Please note specific dietary and potential drug testing requirements.)
• Colombia: DStudents ideally should not turn 18 after arrival; discuss with us for potential arrangements.
• Brazil (Potential Bonus!): While spots are tight, our country correspondent may be able to work some magic on request! High school graduates up to 18.5 upon arrival.

Is Your Club Ready to Make Dreams a Reality? Here’s How!

This is an urgent call to action! The faster you move, the better the chances of securing a fantastic placement. We’ve streamlined the process to help you and your student seize this moment:

For the Student & Club – Fast-Track Application:

1. Share the information: Send the  flyer shown above  to school counselors, youth leaders, your interact club, and your members and their families
2. Immediate Application: Direct your aspiring exchange student to complete the full Youth Exchange application NOW at: https://yehub.net/CEN-obapp.
3. Supplemental Prep: Encourage them to start gathering appointments for the supplemental application packet immediately. We’re pulling this step forward to save precious time! Typing in information ahead of appointments will make it much smoother.
4. Club Interview & Endorsement: Your club must interview the student promptly. If accepted, complete the club endorsement form (found in the supplemental packet) before the interview, then sign and scan it. Let us know you’ve accepted them so we can schedule the district interview.
5. District Interview & Paperwork Push: Once the district accepts, the student needs to complete all supplemental paperwork and get it into the system ASAP. Country assignments are made when paperwork is complete – speed is key!

• Commit to Hosting: Fill out a commitment form to host an inbound student! Hosting is a phenomenal way to bring the world to your community. We’d love to visit your club to share the excitement of hosting!
• Secure Host Families: Once your YEO is approved, help us find that crucial first host family: https://yehub.net/CEN-hfapp. Promote hosting throughout your club and community to find second and third families!

Even if your student isn’t selected for an outbound exchange this year, please consider hosting an inbound student next year! The more global citizens we welcome to our district, the more local students are inspired to join the Rotary Youth Exchange family. You absolutely do not need to send an outbound student to host an inbound!
