Leadership and service have been a cornerstone of Ed Smith’s life.

Early in his career, Ed served as UAW Local 174 Plant Chairman. He has been a Financial Advisor for over 37 years, helping families and businesses be more financially secure.

Ed formerly served as Supervisor/Mayor of Brownstown Township, MI, and has been a Rotarian with the Woodhaven-Brownstown Rotary Club for over 35 years. During that time, he served as Club President four times, Assistant Governor for Area 6 and Super District 6400 Dean of Assistant Governors for six years.

Ed currently serves on the Board of Directors of Downriver Community Conference, Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and the Detroit International Wildlife Refuge. Ed says his purpose in life is the propagation of the fundamental ‘oneness’ of humankind.
