District 6400 has been a strong supporter of the Global Scholar Program. Rotary Clubs in the District are eligible to sponsor an application for a Global Grant Scholarship if your club has qualified by attending the grant management seminars and by having met the $100 per capita donation to the Annual Fund requirement.

Global grant scholarships fund graduate-level coursework or research for one to four academic years at a University abroad – outside of our District. The scholarship includes the following one-time  contributions: $3000 US from your Club, $15,000 US in District Designated Funds from the Rotary Foundation and $12,000 US from the World Fund of the Rotary Foundation for a total of $30,000 US.

We are writing now to encourage Clubs to consider a nomination of a candidate as soon as possible. Candidates would be applying to attend their program in September 2025. DEADLINE for Nominations is December 13, 2024.

The nominee’s field of fund graduate-level coursework or research must align with one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus are: Water/sanitation and hygiene, Disease prevention and treatment, Environment, Basic education & literacy, Peace-building & conflict resolution, Maternal & child health or Community/Economic development
