Linda has been a member of the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland since 2011. Her passion for Rotary began long before as she worked with the Club on a community project called Pack for Success, which distributed over 26,000 backpacks to children in the community. Prior to officially joining Rotary, Linda travelled with PDG Aruna Koushik to India as part of an NID project. As she often says, “I went to India a curious traveler; I came back from India a Rotarian”.
Linda has served in several roles at the Club and District Levels including: Club President in 2014-2015, District Trainer twice, in 2016-2017 and 2021-2022, and is currently Co-chair of the District Vocational Training Team Committee. She also has presented at several District conferences and events, and co-lead a workshop at the International District Conference in Toronto. Most recently, she helped author an article that appeared in the Rotary Magazine.
In addition to travelling to India, Linda has also been to Guatemala to participate in the Guatemala Literacy Project and was also a member of the Vocational Training Team to Ghana where she served as evaluator. She is the recipient of the Rotarian of the Year in 2013, Exemplary Service Award in 2016, and the Council of Governor’s Award in 2018.
In addition to Rotary experience, Linda has worked in education, process improvement, and change management at Windsor Regional Hospital for more than twenty years. She is currently the Director of Learning and Workplace Development. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Windsor and teaches in the MBA program. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees, a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies, and a PhD in Instructional Design and Performance Improvement.
Linda enjoys travel, music, and exploring. A self-professed “learning geek”, she just recently started taking guitar lessons, and in her next life she wants to be a rock star.
