Thanks to the over 250 Rotarians and their families who dropped by the Governors Picnic yesterday. Special thanks to the Rotary Clubs of Amherstburg & Essex and to Arnie Charlton, Derek Locke and family of Rotary Chair Alison Baldwin for all their hard work.
It was a beautiful sunny day for fellowship & fun.

2008 District Governor Golf Outing
27th Outing Sponsored by the Detroit Rotary Club

he 27th Anniversary District Governor's Golf Outing is rapidly approaching. It is scheduled for September 24, 2008 at Kingsville Golf and Country Club in Kingsville, Ontario. The golf outing nearly sold out last year so please register early.

The format for the outing is a best ball scramble. There will be trophies for:
   the winning team;
   longest drive for men; and
   longest drive for ladies.

The outing will also have many door prizes, a putting contest, hole-in-one prizes, a 50/50 raffle, and finish with a wonderful dinner featuring steak, chicken or fish.

This year all sponsors will get recognition on our website with an optional link to your website. We are making sure all signs are up-to-date and well represent the fine companies who sponsor this event.

As has occurred for over a quarter of a century now, our District Governor, Bruce Goldsen, will use the proceeds from this event for world community services. You will also enjoy the fellowship of Rotarians from all over the District. So get your teams together. You may also e-mail me at rives@RosePestSolutions.com.

District Governor 2011 – 2012

Pursuant to the Rotary District 6400 By-Laws

Article II Section 2

District Governor Bruce Goldsen shall advise the Presidents of all clubs in District 6400 that their clubs may propose a candidate for consideration by the Nominating Committee, for election as District Governor Nominee for the subsequent second Rotary year, to be elected District Governor by the Rotary International Convention to take office two years from the following 1 July. Such notice to club presidents shall advise that all proposals must be submitted to the District Governor Bruce Goldsen or before 1 December 2008, on fully executed forms available from the Governor Bruce Goldsen.
