Our meeting will be held at Applebee’s in the Heights Shopping Center.  They have graciously agreed to donate 20% of the day’s food sales.
If you can’t join them at lunch the the Dining to Donate offer is good the entire day. You must present the attached flyer or show on their phone.

***The Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland will be changing its meeting date from Tuesday, October 23rd. to Wednesday October 24th.   They will gather for an off-site meeting on the 24th. at the site of the End Polio Now banner strung across Ouellette Avenue, close to the Wyandotte intersection, right in the Downtown core, from Noon till 1:00pm., interacting with interested pedestrian members of the community and sharing Rotary’s Polio story.  In addition this year will be a Polio Fundraiser, as we will then adjourn to a local Erie Street restaurant, Mezzo, which is joining hands with our Club in raising funds by donating the Tax portion of every lunch/dinner bill towards this fundraiser!  Not only is Mezzo doing this on the 24th., but they have opened up the entire month of October, less 7 black out dates, for this Polio Fundraising effort!   Tickets on sale!

***The Canton Rotary Club is celebrating World Polio Day by collecting funds at Holiday Market in Canton from 9:00 a.m. until noon.  They will then send that money to International to help in the fight against polio.  They will publish our project in the local paper, and we will ask the Canton Board of Trustees to issue a proclamation proclaiming October 24th as World Polio Day in Canton.
***World Polio day is being celebrated by Area 8 on Oct. 24th at noon in the Stables restaurant in Blissfield.    ADG Marilyn Kremer will be the special host for the event.
Aruna Koushik  will be speaking about her NID trips, including her most recent one at the end of September.  Also Paul Harris recognitions will be given!   The area 8 clubs of Adrian, Adrian Morning, Blissfield, Clinton and Tecumseh are all raising funds for polio for this event.
