Each year, Rotary Club of Northville* produces our annual Tour de Ville benefit bicycle ride. While Tour de Ville is Northville Rotary’s biggest fundraiser, our club itself is small (50 members), with a big heart and a big mission – to support local, regional and international Rotary efforts such as local college scholarships, local charities and several social support organizations like Detroit’s Crossroads of Michigan and Northville’s Living and Learning Enrichment Center. We’ve help build and furnish schools in Ghana; supplied books, clothes and shoes to children in southern Mexico and funded Shelterboxes to support emergency relief during disasters.
Each year, our Foundation distributes 100% of the annual, Tour de Ville net proceeds via grants. Since our first Tour de Ville (2014), we’ve raised and disbursed over $120,000 in supporting funds.
To maintain focus on the health and safety of our community, riders, volunteers, and staff, we regret to announce we must cancel the 2020 Tour de Ville benefit bicycle ride. But if ever there was a time to support our community, that time is now!
Although we won’t be able to celebrate the Tour de Ville in the normal fashion this year, we are eager to announce our virtual 2020 Tour de Ville bicycle ride. We’re calling it “The 2020 TdV Covid Cruise”.
